Patients with chronic pain and medical issues are often clinically complex, sometimes presenting with multiple emotional and behavioral concerns and problematic relationships with addictive substances. Our fragmented healthcare system often fails these patients. Models for treating whole persons with their multiple concerns are needed. Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) provides one such model.
The Evolution Science & Behavior Study Group (EvoS) will meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month @ 6 pm.
Teresa Valliere and I (Joel Guarna) will be coordinating this group.
Next: Wednesday, March 25, 2015 @ 6 pm
