The EvoS Group usually meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month but due to schedule conflicts, we will be meeting Feb 17th. We will watch part 1 of the video, Buddha’s Brain (?). Members are also encouraged to list EvoS books as possible candidates for a next read. Please include a short summary or link to review or interview that recommends the book. Please email those to me and I will compile the list. Three candidate books I will put forward:
- The Evolution of Everything by Matt Ridley (listen to short podcast here or interview here). This book is guaranteed to challenge something you believe with confidence.
- Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari, which was recommended on Todd Kashdan’s list of books to read, 2015, though I have since read some reviews critical of this book. Here in an NPR piece on it.
- Dark Matter and the Dinosaurs, which you can read about on Brainpickings.
